The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and Bonneville Power Administration created the Walla Walla River Basin Fish Habitat Enhancement Project in 1996 to protect and restore habitat to benefit spring Chinook Salmon and ESA-listed summer steelhead and Bull Trout.
Project Goal
To protect, enhance, and restore functional floodplain, channel, and watershed processes to provide sustainable and healthy habitat for aquatic species of the First Foods order.
